, May 2013: Spacious with a wonderful view overlooking the park. Staff helpful and the breakfast represented good value in a mighty hall. 3/5

, May 2013: A very pleasant atmosphere and very conveniently located for both business (I was in London for a couple of meetings) and leisure. The staff at reception were extremely helpful, even allowing me to check in before the appointed time. I would certainly be keen to stay in London House again. 4/5

, May 2013: Clean, quiet and spacious room, bathroom a bit tired, but the college is due for a refurbishment soon. Good local facilities, restuarants, pubs, shops and buses. Breakfast was excellent at the college! Great location within walking distance of all major attractions. Will be using it again on next visit if possible. 4/5

, April 2013: Well located near tube, quiet, extremely comfortable bed. Comfy armchair too. Large room with towels, soap and fridge provided. Note there are NO cooking facilities (not even a kettle) and no crockery or cutlery, so either bring your own or eat in the restaurant (good value). The broadband keeps cutting out; luckily you can sit in a comfy sofa in the reception area and use their wifi, which is excellent. Bathrooms are shared but there's never a queue. The garden in the quad is lovely. Reception staff are smiley and helpful. I enjoyed my stay and would come back. 4/5

Mr Mathieu MICHALET, June 2012: We had a great time at Goodenough College: fantastic location (Russel Square), very calm and peaceful atmosphere, access to breakfast/lunch facilities with all you need for a very competitive price. I fully recommend! However, it seemed that our booking was not correctly registered in the records of the College... According to the college system, we were supposed to arrive one day later... 4/5

Mr HIRONORI SUZUKI, June 2012: The staff was friendly and price was reasonable. We would definately come back again. 3/5

Mrs Margaret Summerfield, June 2012: spacious, clean ensuite room in very quiet location close russell square tube. The double hung windows did make a banging the first night but were easily fixed the second night with wedges of card. Highly recommended. 5/5

Mr Charles McLaughlin, June 2012: Good and reasonable price for central London. 4/5

Ms Janet Longbottom, February 2012: We were really pleased with our accommodation, which gave us a view over to St Paul's and the 'Shard' and also into the college quadrangle. It also allowed us to explore North London: lots of places we'd never known about. We're planning to come back! Thank you 4/5

Mr Peter Barnard, December 2011: This was my first experience of using the website's rooms in London. I had a great experience - lovely college, great room, helpful staff and a great price too. I will return ! 5/5

Ms Claire Walkley, November 2011: This was not only excellent value for money, but also excellent quality. Hugely discounted breakfast available on site too. 5/5

Mr Da Qi, October 2011: It is a spacious room with free internet connection, flat screen TV, fridge, etc which meet 4 star hotel facilities. The rate didn't include the breakfast, but the breaskfast in the college offers various choice at very reasonable price. 4/5

Ms Sally Taylor, September 2011: Very comfortable stay in clean and cosy room - liked the original 1930s features. Amazed to find such a peaceful and green location so close to the city centre and St Pancras station. 5/5

Mr Michael Jones, September 2011: Excellent accommodation and location near mainline stations and Central London - Thanks 5/5

Mrs Rosalind Groves, September 2011: I thought this was a brilliant place to stay; I would definitely come again and am telling all my friends about it and showing them the photos I took! It was an amazing price for central London - an ideal location, quiet (trees, squares...) and safe but central, and near buses. The college itself is beautiful, built around the lovely quadrangle. The room was comfortable, quite large, clean. Some people wouldn't like the lack of en-suite facilities, I suppose; but it was worth it, for all the other advantages. Also, really good food, again at amazingly reasonable prices. I had a lovely breakfast of fresh fruits, croissant and coffee for the price of one coffee in many London cafes! Thank you! 5/5

Ms Sheila Wilson, August 2011: The room was spartan but that is what I was expecting. I only cared about one thing and that was geting a good night's sleep. The room was quiet and airy and the bed had crisp white sheets on it. I felt very cosy and had really good night. That was all I wanted. 3/5

Dr Anna Margaret Rees-Jones, July 2011: A very useful facility - staff excellent. 4/5

Ellen Cramm, May 2011: The accommodation at London House residence worked out perfectly for us during our visit to London. The residence is a short walk from the tube, and as a result sightseeing on our first trip to London was very easy to arrange from this location. We also appreciated the quiet neighbourhood. Although not included in the price of the room, we did eat breakfast in the residence dining hall. The food was very good, and prices more than reasonable. Front desk staff were very helpful with a few questions we had about services in the area. Overall we were very pleased with our choice of Bloomsbury House, and would definitely stay here again on future trips to London, if a room is available. 4/5

Susan Christie, May 2011: Great location in centre of London, was lovely and quiet. Nice size room and good shower. Had breakfast in Dining Hall, good choice and reasonable aswell. Would definitely stay again. 4/5

JOHN EDWARD HUMPHREYS, May 2011: First stay wont be last. Staff very helpful and food excellent 5/5

Dr Leila Abbas, April 2011: Room was superb! Can't recommend highly enough as a lovely place to stay in central London. 4/5

Sheila Zachariah, March 2011: A pity that twin beds are not available, (we had a fold up bed put up) but apart from that it was a very comfortable stay in a convenient location for St Pancras 4/5

Yvonne Carmichael, March 2011: The kitchen would have been better if it had towels etc, but overall we were delighted with our accommodation 4/5

Tom Carter, March 2011: The accommodation was good - a large room located on a corner. but with very little service - no beds made, no bathroom items such as shampoo. We liked it, but had to find our own way to a large extent & very little guidance from the college. Great potential, but greater guidance needed for 1st time visitors. Good location. 4/5

sally earney, March 2011: Very well located accommodation - perfect for access to Kings Cross / Eurostar. Lovely views from the room. The price is about right for the accommodation (which is a bit dated) but is good value and I would certainly consider staying there again. 4/5

Vivienne Glensman, March 2011: Beautiful surroundings and peaceful. Breakfast (we paid extra for) very good and eating in the great hall was a pleasure. 4/5

S D Garside-Neville, February 2011: Great value for money. Would stay again. 4/5

Steve Moss, February 2011: Very comfortable bed, large room and bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room plus modern TV and comfortable armchairs. The room was a bit "tired" though, in that the carpet had stains and the bathroom fittings were old. All-in-all though remarkable value and very comfortable. The fire alarm did not disturb us too much and we would definitely stay again. 4/5

Ian Sayers, February 2011: Please thank all the staff, who were excellent. 5/5

Dr Helen Kenwright, February 2011: The room was excellent, clean and spacious. Only problem was the archaic plumbing! But this was a small matter and the facilities were good value for money. I'd use again and recommend without hesitation. Staff friendly and helpful. 5/5

Mrs Liss-Carless, February 2011: A beautiful place to stay in the heart of London with everything that you could possibly need. The address needs to be accurate though for taxis etc.. 5/5

Stephen Jackson, January 2011: lovely, clean room and friendly, efficient staff. 5/5

Judith Geraghty, January 2011: Good, clean room, nice and warm in January, very quiet at night; excellent location and wonderful breakfast. Best value in London 5/5

Adrian R Moore, January 2011: Overall a very pleasing experience which exceeded our expectation. Would definitely use again 5/5

Miss Paula E Row, December 2010: I booked several rooms for myself and some colleagues because we were visiting London for a cell biology conference. I had booked a one bedroom suite for myself, a double en-suite room and some single rooms. In the event, we did not need all of the rooms because two colleagues couldn't make it, because of the snow. The staff upgraded one of the single rooms to a double ensuite, which was great. Thank-you. All of the rooms were amazing, with super facilities (fridge, kettle, bathroom, hairdryer, and iron and ironing board (in mine at least). The hall of residence is a lovely building in a super location, really beautiful and very quiet - a real bonus in London. We loved the roof top terrace and the courtyard. The staff were very helpful too. The rooms were all very good value, and I would love to stay there longer. The location was perfect - only a 10-15 minute walk to the lecture venue. Thank-you so much, you made our stay very enjoyable! I will definitely visit again. 5/5

Mrs sharon owens, December 2010: We were surprised to be in a suite complete with TV, fridge, comfy bed, and extras such as hairdryer and ironing board. It was amazingly good value being so close to central London and we have already told lots of people to book this way! The refectory on site had an amazing array of breakfast & dinner options at bargain prices so will definitely be booking again. Highly recommended. 5/5

Robert Park, December 2010: Building was confusing - a map and list of where to find facilities would have been useful. I ate dinnerand breakfast in the college and found them both very good in terms of variety and value. A very good location - quiet and yet close to underground, supermarket and pub. Pleasant staff. 4/5

Katherine Dyer, December 2010: I think the previous review on this place must have been from someone who was staying in one of the standard student bedrooms. My advice would be to pay the extra £5 a night and book the double bedroom "studio flat". For £80 a night we enjoyed was was more like a roomy 1-bedroom flat. It comprises a huge lounge with 2 large comfy sofas, dining table big enough to seat 8, Freeview TV, desk and free internet access. The bedroom has 2 single beds (which can be pushed together), ample wardrobe/cupboard space, iron/ironing board, hairdryer and safe. The kitchen is well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, cooker and plenty of crockery/cutlery - all spotless and well-maintained. There is also a small bathroom (with overhead shower attachment) and a separate WC - again, both were spotless and cleaner than in some "posh" hotels we've stayed in. The flat was warm and comfortable, our only complaint being the clanking plumbing which woke my partner up at 6am....... but I guess that's to be expected in student accommodation built in the 1930's! Gatelodge staff were friendly and helpful and you are welcome to use the college dining facilities (we didn't make use of these). You're 2 minutes walk from the Grays Inn Road, 5 minutes walk from Kings Cross/St. Pancras and 5 minutes walk in the opposite direction to the Brunswick Centre at Russell Square, which has some nice shops and plenty of cafes/restaurants, and the Renoir Cinema. We felt thoroughly at home during our stay and would highly recommend Goodenough College if you want somewhere reasonably priced to stay in the centre of town, without resorting to a sleazy back street B&B or paying through the nose for a box in a chain hotel. 5/5

Dr Ken Dalley, December 2010: London House is a great place! I used to stay their as a post-grad. Thank you for this great facility in the Centr6e of London. Dr Ken Dalley Specialist in Special Care Dentistry 4/5

Mr eldred davis, October 2010: Thank you for the opportunity to stay at Bloomsbury House. We found it most convenient in relation to travelling in to London. Your plumbing needs some tender loving care but I believe this might have been identified during our stay. We are now back in Australia and our trip was successful and is now a happy memory. Thanks again. Lola and Eldred Davis. 4/5

Peter Cain, September 2010: We had the David Copperfield suite which we found delightful, the breakfast was excellent and for us the location was ideal. We will return! 5/5

Emma Pegg, August 2010: Lovely room, very clean and quiet. Great value and location and surprisingly spacious! I was very impressed with the facilities - not only was there a fridge in the room but even an iron, hairdryer (I was despairing as I had forgotten mine!) and a safe in our room! I only wish we could've stayed longer, and that there was some way to book the same room again, if available, via the website (or alternatively a way to contact the hall by phone or email to see if a specific room is available when you book again). We will definitely be making use of this opportunity again in the future! 5/5

Mrs Elizabeth Smith, August 2010: We felt very honoured to have the chance to stay in such a lovely historic university college. London House is a wonderful place to stay and the staff were kind and helpful. We specially loved having breakfast in the Great Hall and venturing into the lovely gardens. Thank you. 5/5

mavis le guern, August 2010: Well situated in calm and leafy surroundings. Rooms were basic but comfortable and meals offered by the restaurant were excellent value for money. We booked at the height of the tourist season and found the prices very reasonable in comparison to other London hotels for the same period. 4/5

Dr John Fisher, July 2010: Excellent value for money. Thanks. 5/5
