Introduction
Oliver Sheldon Court, recognisable by its russet colour, is the smallest of all three residential blocks. Each flat contains between six and twelve study bedrooms.
All our bedrooms, unless otherwise specified, are for single occupancy. Bed linen is provided in the self-catering houses for the duration of your stay. Towels are not provided.
Crockery, Cruet Set, Sugar basin, tumblers/wine goblets, water jug, cutlery, tin opener and cork screw, mixing bowl, oven tin, saucepans, measuring jug, tray, ironing board, microwave, kettle, teapot, oven glove, chopping board and washing up bowl.
Please note there is a 3 night minimum stay.
Food and Drinks
All accommodation is self catering. No breakfast is included in this rate.
Please be aware catering outlets are limited on campus during vacation periods and therefore you may need to venture off campus for your evening meal.
Other facilities
The University has a fully equipped sports centre and fitness suite. A fast track induction is available to conference delegates and bed and breakfast guests to use the facility. This only applies to participants who have used a gym facility before and would be confident using the fitness suite. These forms take about 5 minutes to complete at the Sports Centre reception. A full induction is still available to those who want to use the gym and need an induction but they would need to contact the sports centre to arrange a convenient time.
Limited parking is available. Please request this in the Additional Information section of the booking form.

Directions:
The University of York is based just off the A64 South East of the City of York
By Car from the A64: Turn off the A64 at the junction signposted York/Hull and head towards the City. You will pass B&Q on your right. Turn left at the next roundabout following signs for the University. You are now on site. Go right at the 1st and 2nd roundabout. Then turn left at the 3rd roundabout. At the final roundabout turn right following signs for Campus North car park.
By Car from the City: Leave the city following signs for Hull. At the traffic lights turn right, following signs for the University. At the first roundabout take a left, this will take you to North Car Park, just 2 minutes walk from Alcuin College Reception.
By train: York has fantastic rail links across the country and booking in advance can provide great deals. The station is only 2 miles from the University of York and will cost around £6-8 in a taxi or you can catch the number 4 bus from outside the station which leaves every tens minutes directly to the University of York campus.
By Taxi: If you are arriving in a taxi, please ask for Alcuin College Reception. This will cost £6-8 from the station or city centre.
By Bus: The number 4 bus leaves from outside the railway station and the city centre every ten minutes. The bus takes 10-20 minutes depending on traffic and sets off every 10-15 minutes both ways until around midnight.
