Introduction

The La Salle university residence offers accommodation in student rooms during the summer vacation perdio (1st July until 30th August). The residence is located in the centre of Barcelona, in the Bonanova region in the old part of the city (Sarriá-Sant Gervasi district).

The residence was founded in 1966 and it is assigned to the University of Barcelona. In 2002 it received the award of Creu de Sant Jordi de la Generalitat de Catalunya for its contribution to the cultural and educational developments within the university community of Catalunya.

Rooms are allocated upon reciept of booking and all care is taken to satisfy any requests made at the time of booking. Unfortunately we are not equipped with suitable facilities for people of reduced mobility or babies. The rooms are not air-conditioned and there is no telephone, television or minibar.

We remind you that you may also have lunch or dinner. It is not permitted to cook in the rooms.

Services

The rooms, bathrooms and communal areas are cleaned daily. Bed linen is also included. Towels are not provided – they can be purchased separately at reception.

There is no WiFi Internet access in the rooms, however, guests can use this service with their own computers in the computer room or use the ones provided. There is no launderette service available for personal use of the guests.

Food and Drinks

The dining hall offers the following:

- typical continental breakfast.
- there is also no cafeteria available.

Additional information

Both lunch and dinner will cost €10 each (plus VAT); we cannot accept bookings in advance for lunch or dinner – they must be booked before 10.00 in the morning at the main reception. If you wish to book lunch for the day of arrival, please telephone before 10.00 or before 16.00 if you wish to book dinner. Meals must be paid for with cash – we do not accept credit/debit cards or cheques.

Other facilities

The printers in the computer room are free of charge, but guests must provide their own paper.

The residence does not have its own carpark, but there is garage opposite the residence where you can leave your car for a number of hours or days. We do not offer a laundrette service for the guests, but near the residence there is laundry where guests staying with us will receive a discount.

We have facilities to hold your luggage if you arrive before indicated check-in time and your room is not yet ready – this is available 10.00 onwards.

Upon arrival, go to the main reception, located at Calle Muntaner, 563 (on the corner of Calle Reus), where you will receive your keys and will be accompanied to your room. From arrival onwards, it is the guest’s responsibility to inform the main reception of any descrepancies or imperfections. Any damages or breakages found later, whether caused intentionally or not by the guest, will be their responisibility.

Upon departure, please hand in your keys to reception. You will also need to settle any outstanding payments.

How to find us

If you are travelling by car, you will need to enter Barcelona by the Dalt ringroad and exit on junction 7: Sant Gervasi.

If you are travelling by train, from the Sants station you could:

- take a taxi just outside the station;
- take Line 5 on the metro (blue line towards Horta and get out at Diagonal). At the Diagonal station, change to Line 7 on Ferrocarriles Catalanes (towards Tibidabo and get out at the El Putxet station).

If you are travelling by plane, from the El Prat airport you could:

- take a taxi outside the main terminal building
- take Aerobus1 or Aerobus2 towards Plaza Catalunya. At Plaza Catalunya take Line 7 on Ferrocarriles Catalanes (towards Tibidabo and get out at the El Putxet station).

Public transport

The La Salle residence in located in a very advantageous position in terms of getting to the city centre (buses: 14, 22, 58, 64, 70, 72, 75 and Line 7 on Ferrocarriles Catalanes – El Putxet station. It is also near the Calle Reus bicycle hire station and from the Bus Turístico stop on the blue route (Ruta Azul).
